City leaders looking to crack down on shareable scooters, dockless vehicles

ATLANTA – Atlanta city leaders are looking to crack down on electric scooters and other shareable dockless vehicles.

Several council members are proposing an ordinance to regulate the growing transportation trend.

“The issue for us though, there’s no regulation around this particular industry. We want to sit down with the industry and the public and kind of set some ground rules about how best to use this new asset in our city,” one council member told Channel 2 Action News.

Channel 2’s Christian Jennings breaks down the proposed law and finds out the adjustments riders and scooter companies may have to make, on Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat.
