A man who was seen working out at a Duluth apartment complex’s gym on Thursday may have actually been casing the location for a robbery, Gwinnett police said Tuesday.
Around 11:30 p.m., the suspect was recorded on surveillance video at 1500 Ridge Brook Trail removing his shirt and then using the gym’s workout equipment before leaving the building, said Cpl. Michele Pihera, spokeswoman for the Gwinnett County Police Department.
About an hour and a half later, around 1 a.m. Friday, the same man returned to the gym — this time fully clothed and wearing a grey sweatshirt — with another suspect, who was wearing a red jacket.
“Both suspects remove the flat screen television from the wall,” Pihera said. “After stealing the television, both suspects are seen leaving the property.”
Police are asking for help identifying and locating the men, and anyone with information is asked to contact Gwinnett detectives at 770-513-5300.
